Introductory Video for World History 

We would like to welcome, Ms. Kiedaisch who will be our student teacher this spring. She is from the College of New Jersey.

We have just begun our unit on Ancient Rome. We will be studying the history of the Roman Empire as well as the daily life of the Romans. This unit will last approximately 6 weeks.

*All Students shoul be working at home on their research papers. The next class day for research is Thursday April 26th and 27th. If you would like me to check a rough draft, please get it to me ASAP.

VOCABULARY LOGS

Every week to two weeks, students will be given a new set of vocabulary words.  On the first night the words are assigned, they are to write all of the words 5x's each to help them practice spelling.  Throughout the rest of the week they will have additional homework assignments tied into the word lists as ways to learn and review the words.  I will post the vocabulary logs as we complete them.

rome1.gifCurriculum: This year students will begin the school year by reviewing world geography. We will continue by focusing on the geography of Europe. In our next unit, we begin to examine Ancient World History as we look at development and history of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. We will end the school year by studying Medieval European History and the Early Renaissance.
