* Assessments:

- performance based assessments: tests and quizzes

- alternate assessments: participation, homework and projects

* The PA Math Anchors

- the math curriculum has been designed to match the Pennsylvania Math Anchors in grade 8 in order to maximize every student's success.

* PSSA Test

- all 8th grade students will take the PSSA test scheduled in April

* Homework

- homework will be assigned on an as needed basis (approximately 3 nights a week)

* Extra Help

- help is available both during homeroom and after school
