The Family and Consumer Sciences class is a general course touching on several of the areas of Family and Consumer Sciences through experience based learning.  Selected topics may include:

Understanding the family and its functions

Character education

Decision making skills

Communication skills

Manners and etiquette

Nutrition and its importance for teens

Developing skills in the kitchen

Consumer rights and responsibilities

Clothing elements and design

Independent sewing experience
