Course Overview:

          In both seventh and eighth grades, students will practice and demonstrate an understanding of English through the integration of reading, literature study, vocabulary development, writing, grammar and usage, research, listening and speaking. 

 

State Testing:

          The English curriculum corresponds directly with PSSA Writing and Reading preparation by addressing Pennsylvania standards/anchors and eligible content in varied lessons.

 

Primary Goal:

          Our course includes numerous strategies, tasks, techniques and assessments to reach the intended goal of helping students to become better readers, writers, listeners and speakers.
