Dear Families,

 

I would like to welcome everyone back for what I think will be another wonderful and productive year!  It is hard to believe that summer is over and school has already started again.  Hopefully you had a terrific summer and everyone is rested and ready to continue to build on the excellent year we had last school year.

 

Volunteers, especially parents, are a vital part of Mary Devine Elementary School.  When home and school work together cooperatively, we can expect great things for our children.  Please become involved in your child’s education.  Let your child know that school is important through your words and actions.  Become a volunteer and help not only your child but also many others. 

 

At Mary Devine, we realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility.  The job of educating children is a monumental task that we don’t take lightly.  This job can only successfully be accomplished when everyone who has a stake in the process does their part.  Please make sure that your children complete all assignments every night including reading for 30 minutes (2 steps) and working on their basic math facts.
