First Grade

Welcome to First Grade

Hi there and welcome to the 2011-2012 school year!  We are so excited to meet all of you and get started on an amazing and fun-filled first grade year!  We hope you had a great summer and are ready to begin school on Tuesday, August 30th.  If you haven't had a chance to get the school supplies that we requested in the letter we mailed to you a few weeks ago, there is still time.  The supplies are as follows:

1 Bookbag (big enough to fit folders)

1 box of crayons (no larger than 24)

5 marble notebooks (no spirals please)

2 dozen pencils

1 pair of scissors

1 pack of post-it notes

2 glue sticks

2 boxes of tissues (always in need)

1 bottle of hand sanitizer

3 pocket folders (red, green and one of your choice)

1 zippered pencil case (big enough to hold 5 pencils, glue sticks and scissors)

 

Please label all of the student's supplies with their name in big, bold writing as we have lots of materials to keep track of in our rooms. 

If you know your child's bus number prior to school, please review and practice it with them several times before the 1st day of school. 

Also, remember that the cafeteria now uses student ID cards for scanning for lunch payment, so if they have cards from last year, please send them on day 1 as well.  Or students can also memorize their student number and punch that code into the machine in the lunch line.
