James Buchanan Elementary School

Sixth grade is the culmination of a child's elementary school career in Bristol Township.  At James Buchanan, the sixth grade maintains high expectations for students both academically and behaviorally.  They are student leaders of our school, and we look to them to set the right example for students in all other grade levels.  Combining prior knowledge with direct instruction and cooperative learning, students build upon math and language art skills in preparation for the rigors of junior high school.  As part of the RTI process, students receive small group, differentiated instruction based on individual needs.  Sixth grade is full of great activities designed to build character, social skills, and academic growth.  Some traditions include: trips to the Philly Rock Gym, Spirit of Philadelphia, and Spirit Day at Truman High School.
