Building a Habitat at Washington
Student Council Members at George Washington Elementary School were joined by students at the Bucks County Technical High School's Welding, and Fabrication TechnologyDept. to build a habitat for native wildlife. The kids worked all day at cleaning the space, tilling the soil and spreading mulch. The tech students contributed benches and a birdhouse. For their story, click here.

Sobering Prom Message
Just a week before their prom, seniors at Truman High School receive a dramatic message about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Special Ed. Teacher Jill Saul spends months with the students choreographing the event, which ultimately brings in a large section of the community; parents, police, rescue squads, fire fighters -- even a medevac helicopter. This year, the young thespian ,who played the part of the perpetrator, actually did some jail time.

PHILLIES PHUNDRAISING
Clara Barton Elementary School students paid to wear red on Phillies Opening Day, April 1. Students and teachers collected more than $300 for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bucks County, who have maintained a mentoring program at the school. VAMPIRE ROAD TRIP
More than 100 students from all nine elementary schools performed in the Sixth Grade Musical this year. Written by Marc McFadden, the story follows the adventures of a vampire and his monster buddies who take a road trip across the country. Here the vampire, played by Curtis Clarhaut is reunited with his girlfriend played by Jasmine Conti at trip's end. Another photo.
