Clara Barton Elementary School

Kindergarten classes holding the "check" for Hope Alive! Clinics. The non-profit is based in Medford, NJ. They have five medical clinics set up in different areas in Haiti. They provide medical and dental care and provide food and clothing for the Haitians. Hope Alive! operates through donations of money, medical supplies, food, and clothing. Volunteers are welcome to travel there and help with the clinics. They work with several orphanages, one of which we helped through last week's Penny Wars. From January 28-February 1, the students at Clara Barton raised $1,000.00! The Kindergarten classes had the highest penny total with 14,431 pennies! The money will be used to buy bed mats for the thirty orphans who live at the Emmanuel Orphanage in Carrefour, Haiti.
