Armstrong Middle School Tiger Techs Win Video Contest

This is the image for the news article titled Armstrong Middle School Tiger Techs Win Video ContestOn April 3, 2017, the Armstrong Tiger Techs were awarded the "Best Program" award for their video submission in the "What's So Cool About Manufacturing Contest". Schools from Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties submitted entries for the competition and were adjudicated by judges such as Matt Lewis (PBS), Matt O'Donnell (Action News) and many others.

The contest is sponsored by the Manufacturing Alliance of Philadelphia and is designed to bring awareness to the various career opportunities that exist in the manufacturing industry throughout our region. The Armstrong Tiger Techs partnered with New Age Industries which is a hose and tube manufacturer based in Southhampton, PA. The students shot their footage in December and January and then worked with editors from PBS during the post-production phase of the project.
